For those of you who know and love PLb, you are familiar with what the brand represents. We are and have always been focused on maintaining a classic style while adding a creative edge. Whether it’s contrast stitching to add a special pop, mini stripes to create a sweeter look, or tonal stripes to create a contrast of colors, PLb turns baby basics into creative pieces of art, every garment telling a unique story. In the spring/summer 2012 Dream Collection, we were inspired so much by creativity that we named a color after it! Creativity is this season’s shade of the typical baby blue, used in not so typical ways. We love the look of this simple color on all of the PLb styles for the season. How could you not adore the classic short sleeve tee with a striped front pocket in Creativity, or the classic union suit with a cute kangaroo pocket? No matter what your clothing preference is for your little one, PLb has created the perfect garment with creative, yet subtle details. Clothing isn’t the only way to show creativity however. Here at PLb, we did some homework on how we can all be a little more creative in various ways!
We found some amazing pictures (thanks to our new Pinterest obsession) that demonstrate how we can all get a little more creative when doing simple activities such as decorating and even drinking! One enticing idea we discovered was do it yourself artwork for your home! If you have bare walls that need some excitement, get some paint, paintbrushes, canvas, and maybe some tarp so you don’t create a mess, and go at it! Let the creativity in you unleash itself and let your inner artist take over. The great thing about art is that it’s never perfect and it can even be therapeutic, so have fun and see what you can create! Also to get your creative juices flowing, try making some refreshing cocktails like this Blue Martini pictured below. This is the perfect spring time beverage for those warm afternoons when you need to cool down! Speaking of cool, the picture we found of the blue room below is a unique spin on a traditional family room. Hardwood ceilings, floor length windows, and multi colored walls are all creative touches on what could be a plain living room. We hope you find some inspiration from our pictures and are motivated to get creative this spring season!

With Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday, May 13th, we had to honor those special ladies in our lives by making this post all about moms and the color Passion. For those of you who didn’t know, Passion is the shade of dark pink in this spring/summer’s Dream Collection. Passion is literally defined as any powerful feeling or emotion, which we found so fitting for the pretty pink in our collection. Also fitting into this theme of passion is how we feel about our moms! All of us here from Team PLb can agree that we have a strong passion for our mothers and the countless efforts they have made to give us everything we want and need. Whether it’s baking cupcakes for our school bake sales as children, driving us around as preteens, or giving us a shoulder to cry on as adults, our moms have shown how passionate they are about us, just as we are about them.
Team PLb would like to say thank you to all of the moms out there for everything they have done and continue to do for their children. Enjoy your special day!

With the spring season already in bloom, we can’t help but talk about one of our favorite colors of the season: Aspiration. It is the PLb shade of lavender for the spring/summer 2012 Dream Collection.
Aspiration is the perfect color for little ladies this spring. The color radiates positive energy and is perfect for day time strolls in the park, picnics in a green meadow, or vacationing in a quaint cottage with loved ones. Not only is the color the loveliest lavender of the spring season, but the meaning behind it truly does make it mean something more than just a color. Aspiration is about a child’s hope for the future, a desire to make a dream come true. It’s about closing your eyes, seeing a vision, and wanting to do everything possible to achieve it. In relation to architecture, to aspire means to rise up, mount, or tower. Think of a large, yet beautifully elegant veranda, perfect for letting in the warm spring air. Envision the most delicate lavender flowers decorating the interior, perfect for creating that spring time ease. And of course we couldn’t forget Aspiration’s relation to tasty dessert treats. Cupcakes and macaroons are our favorite lavender treats to munch on in the spring time.
Inspired by Aspiration, spring time, and our new found love of Pinterest, the PLb team has created a small board of our spring time obsessions. We aspire to communicate the vision of the PL lifestyle flawlessly through our words, pictures, and of course our signature, super soft clothes!
